Many items like backpacks and pencil bags can be reused from year to year.  ***Consider Donation![back to school free](https://blog.novachem.com/hs-fs/hubfs/back%20to%20school%20free.png?width=347&height=260&name=back%20to%20school%20free.png)*** If there are items you can’t reuse, consider donating last year’s supplies to a local school, library, or church. Donating supplies to local community hubs is a great way to support your neighbors while also promoting sustainability. ***Recycling*** When supplies cannot be donated, recycling is the next best option. Many school supply items are recyclable or made of recyclable components. Products that are not eligible for recycling in curbside programs or local recycling facilities are often collected by office supply stores or manufacturers. ***Made from Recycled Materials*** *Lunch boxes, pencil holders, backpacks, and even clothing can be made from recycled plastic materials. Consider purchasing items made from recycled materials.* Incorporating eco-friendly practices into our back-to-school routines is more accessible than ever, and it offers a great opportunity to teach children about sustainability.
