Our genScience initiatives are designed to ignite passion, creativity, and discovery, helping to build a stronger, more sustainable future by encouraging young people to explore careers in STEM. ![Aug_MEtheInn_packingbackpacks1 (002)-jpg](https://blog.novachem.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Aug_MEtheInn_packingbackpacks1%20(002)-jpg.jpeg?width=278&height=255&name=Aug_MEtheInn_packingbackpacks1%20(002)-jpg.jpeg)In addition to hands-on support filling backpacks to be sure students start the year on the right foot, one of the core ways we support STEM is through scholarships. Across Canada and the U.S., we contribute to more than 50 scholarships each year, opening doors for students pursuing post-secondary studies in science and engineering fields.  --- Here are just a few examples of our opportunities:  - Red Deer Polytechnic, includes [multiple scholarships supporting students in STEM-related studies](https://rdpolytech.academicworks.ca/donors/nova-chemicals)  - Western University, Faculty of Engineering, [NOVA Chemicals Engineering Scholarship](https://www.eng.uwo.ca/undergraduate/award-and-scholarships.html)- Applications open September 4 – 26, 2025  - River Parishes Community College: [NOVA Chemicals Scholarship for PTEC, Instrumentation and Electrical Studies](https://rpcc.awardspring.com/Home/ScholarshipDetails/393931)   Beyond the classroom, we partner with organizations like Let’s Talk Science in Canada and the Carnegie Science Center in the U.S. to bring STEM to life through interactive programs. Since 2018, we’ve donated over $1 million to Let’s Talk Science, expanding access to high-quality STEM learning for youth across Canada, including those in remote communities...including those in Indigenous and underserved communities.  At NOVA, we believe that achieving global circularity ambitions starts with education. By investing in the future of STEM, we’re not only supporting students today – we’re building a generation of problem-solvers, change-makers, and leaders who will help reshape plastics for a better future.  --- #### Share: - [Follow us on Facebook](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/investing-in-curiosity-novas-commitment-to-stem-education) - [Follow us on Twitter](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/investing-in-curiosity-novas-commitment-to-stem-education&text=Investing%20in%20Curiosity:%20NOVA’s%20Commitment%20to%20STEM%20Education) - [Follow us on Linkedin](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/investing-in-curiosity-novas-commitment-to-stem-education) - [Follow us on Mail](mailto:?subject=Investing%20in%20Curiosity:%20NOVA’s%20Commitment%20to%20STEM%20Education%20&%20body=https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/investing-in-curiosity-novas-commitment-to-stem-education) - Follow us on Copy Copied to clipboard --- #### [AEPW Releases 2024 Progress Report: Evolving for Impact Previous Post](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/a-letter-from-our-ceo-novas-2024-progress-toward-ending-plastic-waste) #### [Why Recycling Plastic Film is Challenging (and Why We Do it Anyway) Next Post](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/why-recycling-plastic-film-is-challenging-and-why-we-do-it-anyway) This is a search field with an auto-suggest feature attached. - There are no suggestions because the search field is empty. ### Category - [Recycled Polyethylene (13)](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/tag/recycled-polyethylene) - [Circularity (12)](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/tag/circularity) - [Leadership (8)](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/tag/leadership) - [Company News (7)](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/tag/company-news) - [Mechanical Recycling (5)](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/tag/mechanical-recycling) ### Popular Posts [Admin](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/author/admin) 12/29/2025 [NOVA officials weigh in on sustainability, tariffs and more for 2026](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/nova-officials-weigh-in-on-sustainability-tariffs-and-more-for-2026) [John Thayer](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/author/john-thayer) 09/15/2025 [Collaborative Leadership is Key to Customer Service Excellence](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/collaborative-leadership-is-key-to-customer-service-excellence) [NOVA Chemicals](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/author/nova-chemicals) 09/25/2024 [Recycled Polyethylene](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/tag/recycled-polyethylene), [Company News](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/tag/company-news) [Third Annual Brand Owner Bootcamp Creates Experience for Packaging Experts](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/third-annual-brand-owner-bootcamp-creates-experience-for-packaging-experts) [Greg DeKunder](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/author/greg-dekunder) 09/04/2025 [Why Recycling Plastic Film is Challenging (and Why We Do it Anyway)](https://blog.novachem.com/nova-knows/why-recycling-plastic-film-is-challenging-and-why-we-do-it-anyway) ### Subscribe to NOVA Knows --- ![NOVA](https://blog.novachem.com/hubfs/NOVA_Chemicals_July_2023/images/logo.svg "NOVA") - [Who We Are](https://www.novachem.com/who-we-are/) - [Plastics for a Sustainable Future](https://www.novachem.com/who-we-are/plastics-for-a-sustainable-future/) - [Leadership](https://www.novachem.com/who-we-are/leadership/) - [Locations](https://www.novachem.com/who-we-are/locations/) - [Financial Information](https://www.novachem.com/who-we-are/financial-information/) - [History](https://www.novachem.com/who-we-are/history/) - [Sustainability](https://www.novachem.com/sustainability/) - [Responsible Care](https://www.novachem.com/sustainability/responsible-care/) - [Safety](https://www.novachem.com/sustainability/safety/) - [Communities](https://www.novachem.com/sustainability/communities/) - [Products](https://www.novachem.com/sustainability/products/) - [Environment](https://www.novachem.com/sustainability/environment/) - Products - [Polyethylene](https://www.novachem.com/polyethylene/) - [Olefins](https://www.novachem.com/olefins/) - [Additional Co-Products](https://www.novachem.com/olefins/products/) - [Product Finder](https://www.novachem.com/polyethylene/product-finder/) - Tools - [CustomerCare](https://customercare.novachemicals.com/) - [Vendor View](https://www.novachemicals.com/vendorviewweb/public/login.aspx) - [BONFIRE](https://www.novachem.com/polyethylene/customer-experience/modeling-and-simulation/) - [Careers](https://jobs.novachem.com/) - [News](https://www.novachem.com/media-center/news-releases/) - [Media Center](https://www.novachem.com/media-center/) - [Contact Us](https://www.novachem.com/contact/) © 2026 NOVA Chemicals Corporate.
