I am excited to begin 2025, as we celebrate our 50th anniversary as a petrochemicals company. In 1975, NOVA pivoted from a small prairie pipeline company to begin building our first ethylene cracker plant. That decision was the start of becoming the NOVA Chemicals we are today. Fifty years later, we are proud to be Canada’s largest petrochemical producer.
Not only are we a petrochemical manufacturer, but also an industry innovator and most recently, a recycler of polyethylene. Our polyethylene (PE) resins have helped our customers create high-performing products for nearly five decades. Now, we’re looking ahead to the next 50.

What does the future look like? Our focus will remain on providing high-quality PE resins for essential applications that align with customer preferences. We will build on our number one position in
customer experience, continue developing innovative solutions with our partners, and operate our globally advantaged assets safely, responsibly, reliably, and competitively to deliver best-in-class performance and growth. We will stay focused on innovating and adopting new digital technology to make work easier for our employees and help our customers be more successful.
We are doubling down on circularity. By listening intently to our customers, we are developing products that meet their most pressing needs, designing for improved circularity, and building a mechanical recycling business to deliver premium quality products and packaging with recycled content. This is how we’ll achieve our vision of reshaping plastics.
